Plant Description: Red buds on this deciduous shrub open in spring and flowers change from pink to white as they mature. Flowers are arranged in snowball-like clusters and are very fragrant. In late summer, flowers support non-showy, berry-like drupes which mature to blue-black in late summer. Dark green serrated leaves turn dull red in the fall. Perfect in a perennial border or foundation planting. Attractive to birds, but deer resistant.
