Plant Description: Green Carpet Juniper is a neat, compact cultivar of the native low-growing evergreen shrub Common Juniper. Branches covered in blue-green needles form a low, dense carpet of foliage that is easy to maintain. The new spring growth emerges bright green and darkens as it ages, turning bronze in the winter. The small green to blue-black fruit are an important source of winter food for birds. It is exceptionally drought tolerant and can even survive without irrigation once established. Tolerates poor soils and dry, exposed sites.
