Plant Details:
Plant Type: Perennial
Plant Family: Plantaginaceae
Plant Description: This foxglove is clumping in habit with medium green, oval to lance shaped leaves which are in a rosette at the base and then get smaller going up the flower stocks. This plant blooms at the end of May into the beginning of June with showy, large, yellow, tubular shaped flowers with brown markings inside. It prefers average, well-drained soils. All parts of this plant are toxic if eaten.
Maintenance:
Maintenance Type: Perennial - Herbaceous
Plant Care: Perennial - Herbaceous (soft-stemmed plants that die back in winter and regrow in spring): Remove spent blooms to promote rebloom later. Some plants tend to flop over after the first bloom and attempt to regrow from the base; in these cases, the old stems can be cut away in summer. As plants become dormant in the fall, remove dead leaves and stems.
