Furniture Painting 101

Thursday, January 09 2014 from 7:00PM - 8:30PM

Event

Everything old is new again! Come and learn how to revitalize old pieces with a fresh new finish. There are several types of paint created for this purpose and we’ll be exploring two of them. The wonderful folks from “Drab to Fab Interiors" in Pleasant Grove will demonstrate how to use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, distressing techniques and application of soft wax finishes. Additionally, Sausha from “Sweet Pickins Furniture” will demonstrate how to use her new line of milk paint to create vintage, chippy finishes that add character while applying an environmentally-friendly paint. It can be a bit tricky to get your hands on the right products for the job so we’ve asked them to bring along their paints which will be available for purchase at the class for your convenience. No purchase necessary. This class is part of the Jordan Valley Home & Garden Club schedule. The Club seeks to help build the do-it-yourself skills of homeowners and classes are taught by local experts. Membership in the Club is free and members may attend as many or as few classes as interest them. More information about the Club can be found on their blog at http://club.conservationgardenpark.org.
